WooCommerce is an open-source e-commerce plugin for WordPress. It is designed for small to large-sized online merchants using WordPress.

The core WooCommerce plugin can be installed and uninstalled the same as other WordPress plugins.

To install WooCommerce on your WordPress site follow these instructions.

Installing the Live eftpos for WooCommerce Payment Gateway
There are two methods to installing the Live eftpos for WooCommerce Payment Gateway plugin. The first method consists of installing and activating the plugin directly from the Wordpress plugin marketplace and the second consists of downloading the plugin from the Live eftpos portal and uploading it into your plugin section of Wordpress.


Method 1 - Via the Wordpress plugin marketplace

  1. In Wordpress, go to: Plugins > Add New
  2. Search 'Live eftpos' as your keyword, then click the Install Now button.
  3. Installation will take approx 10 seconds. Upon completion, click the Activate button.
  4. Under 'Installed Plugins', Live eftpos for WooCommerce will now be active.



Method 2 - Via the Live eftpos portal & Wordpress

When logged in to the Live eftpos portal, you will be provided with an option to download the WooCommerce zip file.

  1. Download the Live eftpos for WooCommerce zip file from within the Live eftpos portal.

  2. In WordPress, go to: Plugins > Add New

  3. Click 'Upload Plugin'

  4. Select 'Choose File'

  5. Select the Live eftpos for WooCommerce zip file from your PC and click 'Install Now'

  6. Once installed, select 'Activate'

  7. Under 'Installed Plugins', Live eftpos for WooCommerce will now be active.

Enabling Live eftpos for WooCommerce 

You will need to enable Live eftpos Payment Gateway as a payment method in the WooCommerce settings.


  1. Go to: Installed Plugins > WooCommerce > Settings

  2. Select the 'Payments' tab, toggle Live eftpos for WooCommerce to 'Enabled'

  3. Select 'Manage' to add a Payment method title, Terminal ID and API Key.

  4. Enter your Terminal ID and API Key which can be retrieved from the Live portal. Instructions on how to do so can be found here. 


Select 'Save changes'
